Terms of Service

Anything highlighted in yellow is a fact only Kanso can supply and must be filled in before this page is published. Have a lawyer qualified in India review these terms before you rely on them, particularly the liability and subscription sections.

1. Who you are contracting with

These terms are between you and [REGISTERED ENTITY NAME], registered in India at [REGISTERED OFFICE ADDRESS]. By creating an account or using Kanso you agree to them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

2. Who may use Kanso

Kanso is a business product. You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. We do not knowingly permit accounts for anyone under 18, in line with Section 9 of the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

3. What Kanso does, and what it does not do

Kanso researches your company and runs software agents that draft marketing work across channels such as search, Reddit, X and LinkedIn. It produces drafts and recommendations for a person to review.

Kanso does not guarantee any particular ranking, reach, traffic or revenue outcome. Output is generated by AI models and can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing anything before it is published in your name, and for making sure it is accurate, lawful and not misleading. If you approve a draft, you publish it, not us.

4. Your content

You keep ownership of everything you upload and everything Kanso drafts for you. You grant us only the licence we need to run the service for you: to store your content, send the relevant parts to the processors listed in our Privacy Policy, and produce the output you asked for. We do not use your content to train publicly available AI models and we do not sell it.

5. Connected accounts

Where you connect a third party account, you authorise Kanso to access it for the purposes you selected, and you agree to that platform's own terms. You can disconnect at any time. Platforms can change or withdraw their access at any time, which may stop parts of Kanso working through no fault of ours.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to use Kanso to:

publish anything unlawful, defamatory, obscene, deceptive or infringing;
impersonate a person or organisation, or misrepresent your association with one;
send unsolicited bulk messages, or post in a way that breaks the rules of the platform being posted to;
upload content you do not have the right to use;
attempt to break, overload, reverse engineer or gain unauthorised access to the service.

We may suspend an account that does these things. Where we can, we will tell you why and give you a chance to fix it first.

7. Copyright complaints

If you believe something on Kanso infringes your copyright, write to our grievance officer in section 11 with enough detail to identify the work and where it appears. We will acknowledge within 24 hours and act within 15 days, and we will remove or disable access to infringing material. Accounts that repeatedly infringe will be terminated.

8. Subscriptions and payment

Kanso does not currently charge for accounts, and no payment method is collected. When paid plans launch, the price, the billing interval, the fact that a plan renews automatically, and how to cancel will be shown next to the payment button before you pay, not buried in a policy page.

Recurring payments in India are governed by the Reserve Bank of India's framework for recurring e-mandates. Where that framework applies, you will be sent a notification before each debit, at least 24 hours in advance, and you will be able to cancel the mandate from inside the product without having to email us.

9. Availability

We try to keep Kanso running but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, suspend or discontinue features. Where a change materially reduces what you are paying for, we will tell paying customers in advance.

10. Liability

Kanso is provided on an as is basis to the extent Indian law allows. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, lost data or reputational harm arising from output you chose to publish. Our total liability in any 12 month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period. [CONFIRM THIS CAP WITH YOUR LAWYER]

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

11. Grievance officer

In line with Indian law, you can raise any complaint about the service, about content, or about your data with:

We acknowledge complaints within 24 hours and aim to resolve them within 15 days.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India, and the courts at [CITY] have exclusive jurisdiction.

13. Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. For significant changes affecting paying customers, we will give notice in advance.
